Hope Probe Launch Rescheduled

The UAE Space Agency and the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, in cooperation and consultation with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (launch service provider), have announced the delay of the launch of the Emirates Mars Mission’s Hope Probe, due to the weather conditions at the launch site of Tanegashima Island in Japan.

A new launch date for the UAE Hope Probe mission to Mars has been set for Friday, July 17, 2020, at 12:43 am UAE time.

The UAE’s space mission – the Arab world’s first interplanetary mission – will launch on Friday, July 17, 2020, at 12:43 am UAE time (July 16, 2020, at 8:43 pm GMT) from Tanegashima Space Centre in Japan, an official press release said.
