DCL receives Abu Dhabi QC council delegation

DCL shares experience with Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council … reports Asian Lite News.

The Building Materials Laboratories Section of Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) received a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council recently. The delegation was briefed on the most important tests and services carried out by the laboratories of the Section in the field of advanced asphalt mixtures testing. The visit was part of the cooperation and exchange of experience and integration between government institutions in the country in the field of quality assessments and quality control of building materials.

The delegation listened to a detailed presentation by Eng. Adnan Al Marzouqi, Head of Building Materials Laboratories Section, in the presence of the heads of units in the Section. He explained the tests conducted in the field of construction and infrastructure products and green building materials using state-of-the-art devices according to the international standard testing methods.

During the visit, they discussed means of cooperation in conducting quality control tests for the materials used in the pavement layers according to the international standards adopted in Dubai. They also discussed the experience of DCL in carrying out performance tests for asphalt mixtures of the Super Pave system.
