The Ajman-based Human Appeal International, HAI, has unveiled its Ramadan campaign, “Make Them Happy,” as part of its efforts to establish the concept of humanitarian action.

HAI said it aimed to raise the target revenue of charity projects to AED57.5 million, a growth of 23 percent over the last year, out of which about AED20 million will be for Zakat and AED 5 million for orphans and families in need. Various health, education and social development projects will receive AED25 million from the target revenue. In addition, AED4 million will be for breaking the fast (Iftar), AED1 million for Eid clothing, AED2 million for Zakat Al Fitr and AED500,000 for food donation.

The launch of the campaign highlighted strategies adopted by HAI to cover all charitable projects during the holy month of Ramadan. This includes four main projects: Zakat Al Fitr, Eid Dressing, Iftar and Food Donation.

Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, HAI, said, “HAI aims to raise the revenues from its charitable projects during the year of 2018 by 23 percent to AED232 million, in harmony with the UAE society ethics, which were established by its founding fathers.”

He further stated that the value of charitable projects implemented during 2017 stood at AED194 million with AED46.5 million for Ramadan campaigns.

HAI has announced the launch of its new website (www.ramadan-hai.ae) for the implementation of the Ramadan campaign project, which can be used to send donations and Zakat funds by SMS, bank transfer or electronic payment. It also gives the public the opportunity to share the charitable activities with their friends on social media to motivate them to do good through donations and support the need.
