Founder and Managing Director of Five Little Ducks, a unique premium baby and kids’ boutique store, Camilla Hassan left behind her full-time job on the quest to launch her very own business to meet the needs of mothers and fathers who are on the search for quality and innovative baby products.

Residing in Dubai for nearly 10 years, working in digital media, e-commerce and retail for some of the biggest and most successful UAE startups like Dubizzle and Souq.com, in the last six years Camilla has focused on baby retail which is her true passion. It was when Camilla became a mother (daughters: Layla who is five and Maya who is four years old) a few years ago that she really felt there were limited options for parents to find great quality and different baby products in the region which led to her always ordering from International websites which wasn’t a cost-effective way of always shopping. With so many parents in the same boat, Camilla felt there was a huge gap in the market for quality, innovative and stylish baby products that remain reasonably priced. With a fantastic background in ecommerce and baby retail Camilla realized that she wanted to pursue her dream of running her own business and early 2018 saw the launch of Five Little Ducks.

Located in both Town Centre Jumeriah and Arabian Centre, Five Little Ducks sources only the best brands from all around the world. Some countries are well known for being pioneers in the baby category, with Camilla being part Swedish/Finnish, she has a huge affinity with Scandinavian brands such as Stokke, especially with their sense of design and minimalism. She also adores products from Australia and New Zealand, as they are big believers in organic fabrics and really quality brands. Camilla only stocks brands that she would personally buy or recommend to a friend and really believes in every brand and product that is stocked in her stores.

Stocking exclusive brands is a big part of the Five Little Ducks ethos, keeping them way ahead of other baby stores. They are the only store that retails Lunchbots stainless steel bento boxes, which are super popular as people have become far more environmentally aware. They also stock Matchstick Moneys, a new teething toy that is backed by the Dragons Den team, as well as many other brands. Camilla is always on the look out for new and interesting brands that offer something different and to meet the parent’s needs.

High-quality customer service is always at the forefront of Five Little Ducks business agenda, and Camilla ensures all of her staff gets fully trained on each brand to meet every need and question from customers. As well as great service, it’s very important to Camilla that there is a personal approach with all customer communications. Many customers like to ask questions about products via social media before purchasing an item and the team at Five Little Ducks will work around the clock to make sure all customers receive a positive experience each time.

Five Little Ducks is designed with impeccable taste and supplying a wonderful offering of the finest products in the region. Camilla Hassan continues her pursuit of having a really strong presence not only in the UAE but also in the GCC with their soon to launch e-commerce site ensuring Five Little Ducks remains on top of product trends and stocking the latest cool brands. She values her customers’ opinions and trust and aims to become the go-to store for all parents in the region.
