Medy Navani is a German Architect who has become renowned internationally for the design of prestigious private homes and the creation of stunning bespoke interior design concepts.
His design ethos hinges on “less is more”, using chic designs with contemporary furnishings. An addict of his work with an insatiable desire for new innovative ideas regarding form, function and finishing, Medy started his journey as a graduate of Architecture from the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg.
Gaining a Diploma (Dip Arch) in Architectural Engineering, Medy studied under Professor Prof. Dr. Bernd Kritzmann, who guided his discovery and understanding of architecture by using painting as a tool to experience a new perception of the hidden art in our environment.
On completion of his studies Medy went on to design for Germany based company Aimo & Gesellschaft für Gestalltung in 2000 -2004. As a lead architect in charge of the refurbishment and furnishing of some of the most famous residential properties in the world.
Since 2004, Medy Navani began the next chapter of his career working as Creative Director and Founder of CLSE interior Architect Consultancy Dubai. CLSE has one of the most distinguished client databases within the UAE, as well as projects in a variety of different countries and major cities, such as Dubai, Los Angeles, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Nigeria, Riyadh, London, Munich and Paris. Medy became renowned both at home and abroad for the design of prestigious private homes including; ‘White Casa’ for the famous singer and componist Kazem al Zahir, ‘The Zen Beach’ House in L.A. and ‘Villa A.L.B.’ in Riyadh.
2006 marked the official launch of Design Haus Medy, now an award winning architecture and interior design practice based in Dubai. Medy is the Manager and Creative Director, responsible for an international team of designers, architects and artists working on commissions including boutique hotels, restaurants, retail spaces and luxury residential in the Middle East, Europe and West Africa.
Medy has delivered numerous clients with recognised satisfaction, luxury, elegance and fame. Unusual mediums have set the tone of his multicultural and unique designs of cool minimalism as well as Arabesque ornamentation. Important public projects in Medy’s UAE portfolio include The Hospital in RAK, Dubai Financial Market DFM, The skyview Tower in Dubai Marina, The Uni Bank Head office tower and Abujas first Boutique Hotel.
Medy’s vision and goal continues to be the creation of an environment that defines and impresses the future by grasping the most finest and intelligent elements, material and finishing’s of the past. Medy is currently working on his latest Project for the Royal family of Umm Al Quwain. Fresh colors, metallic finishes, elegant chinoiserie and animal prints with eighteenth century French and English furnishings set the light to Victorian style of this current masterpiece.
