The team of Road To Awareness (R2A) cyclists have crossed the finish line after pedaling just under 600 kilometres across the Western Cape in South Africa for charity. The team of local and international riders set-off from The Westin Hotel in Cape Town on Thursday 2nd August and spent the next three days experiencing the best of the beautiful Western Cape while firmly seated on a bicycle saddle.

The R2A cycle challenge forms part of a series of key events initiated by Marriott International to raise funds for charities across the Middle East and Africa. This year, the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation has been selected as the R2A beneficiary in South Africa, while in other markets the partners are Al Jalila Foundation (UAE), Disabled Children’s Association (KSA), King Hussein Cancer Foundation (Jordan), Soroptimist International (Seychelles) among many others.
