Wing-eers plan Ramp Day this New Year

This new year, CEO of Wings of Angelz, Shobhika Kalra and volunteers fondly called wing-eers will participate in Ramp Day supported by Emirates NBD … reports Asian Lite News.

Wings of Angelz, a non-profit entity that works towards creating awareness about wheelchair accessibility will be participating in Ramp Day supported by Emirates NBD on January 12^th. The event will start by 5.00 pm at Emirates Tower Metro Station.

Ramp Days are quarterly events when the wing-eers (volunteers) break out into smaller groups and walk around the city.

They identify places that aren’t wheelchair accessible, approach the concerned authorities and humbly request them to make their facilities wheelchair accessible.

All the information collected on Ramp Days are entered into their database. Afterwards the wing-eers will closely follow up and support these organisations till they become wheelchair accessible.
