The alliance will support Leica’s L-Mount system that was first launched in 2014.

Leica Camera’s L-Mount makes it possible to use replacement lenses that meet the L-Mount of the partners.

“Expressiveness is further enhanced by increasing options for replacement lenses,” Panasonic said during the “Photokina” exhibition here.

The L-Mount has a diameter of 51.6 mm, and is suitable for use with full-frame cameras as well as APS-C sensors when the flange distance is 20 mm.
