Oman’s Covid Count At 40,000

The total number of positive Covid-19 cases in Oman climbed to 40,070 on Tuesday, in addition to 176 death cases, the Ministry of Health said.

As many as 1,010 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) were registered in the Sultanate today, in addition to 7 new Covid-19 related death cases.

776 of the new cases were Omanis whereas 234 were non-Omanis.

The Ministry also pointed out that 1,003 persons have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 23,425, official news agency, Oman News said.

The Ministry also pointed out that 3121 tests of Covid-19 were conducted over the past 24 hours, adding that 51 cases were hospitalized today, out of a total number of 437 hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients, of them 117 are in intensive care units (ICU).
