Dubai World Cup to be Broadcast in 170 Countries Worldwide

A record-breaking 37 broadcasters will be covering the event live, making it one of the most widely viewed racing spectacles globally

The Dubai Racing Club has announced that the 29th edition of the prestigious Dubai World Cup fixture, set to take place at Meydan Racecourse on Saturday, April 5, will be broadcast live to an impressive 170 countries globally.

Widely regarded as the world’s most international race day, the Dubai World Cup will feature a thrilling lineup of nine high-profile races, including the headline US$12 million Dubai World Cup itself. The event will showcase talent from around the world, with more than a dozen countries represented across the races.

A record-breaking 37 broadcasters will be covering the event live, making it one of the most widely viewed racing spectacles globally. Notable first-time broadcasters include Channel 7, which will air the event on mainstream television in Australia, and leading Canadian sports network Sportsnet. Additionally, Fancode, which boasts a massive 160 million users in India, will also provide coverage of the event.

Other major broadcasters include Fox Sports in the United States, ESPN/Star+ in South America, SuperSport in Africa, and European networks such as Eurovision, Viaplay, and Setanta Sports.
The Middle East region will be well-served with coverage from Dubai Racing Channel, Yas TV (Abu Dhabi), and Saudi Sports Channel. In Southeast Asia, fans will be able to enjoy the action via Green Channel, Fuji TV, Kansai, and NetKeiba in Japan, as well as HKJC TV, Cable TV, Now TV, and TVB in Hong Kong.

Additionally, the event will be accessible to selected cruise lines and airlines, including the event’s title sponsor, Emirates Airline. CNN Worldwide, which reaches over 347 million households, will also provide coverage for its World Sport program, further extending the race’s global reach.

This widespread coverage underscores the Dubai World Cup’s status as a truly international event, bringing the excitement of one of the world’s richest horse races to millions of viewers across the globe.
