His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed met with the President, Deputy Prime Minister and other ministers during his visit to Singapore … reports Asian Lite News.
President Halimah Yacob of the Republic of Singapore on Friday received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, which was held as part of Sheikh Abdullah’s official visit to Singapore, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and strengthen frameworks of cooperation in various fields, including trade, economic, investment, tourism and food security.
The meeting also touched on the latest developments in the region and reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, later met with Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean.
During the meeting, which was held as part of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah’s official visit to Singapore, the two sides reviewed the friendly relations of cooperation between the UAE and Singapore, and discussed ways to enhance them in all fields including in investment, education, tourism and food security.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also met with Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Singaporean Minister of Foreign Affairs, in presence of Dr. Mohamad Maliki bin Osman, Senior Minister of State of Singapore, at the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting, which is part of Sheikh Abdullah’s current visit to Singapore, discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of boosting their economic, commercial, investment and food security cooperation.
Both sides exchanged their views on the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest, especially the current situation in Iraq, Syria and Yemen.
Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the UAE’s relations with Singapore and its desire to develop them, to meet the aspirations of their leadership and people.
Dr. Balakrishnan welcomed Sheikh Abdullah’s visit to Singapore and praised the deep ties between their countries and their growing overall cooperation. He also praised the UAE’s rapid advancement.
He then hosted a dinner in honour of Sheikh Abdullah and his delegation.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Cabinet Member and Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills, and Mohammed Omar Abdullah Belfaqeeh, UAE Ambassador to Singapore.
