In recognition of International Day for Tolerance, celebrated on 16th November of each year, The Founder’s Memorial organised educational tours dedicated to highlighting values of tolerance and coexistence, values that the UAE’s Founding Father lived by.

The Founder’s Memorial was built as a tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, taking visitors on a journey that captures his compassion and humanitarianism, and his dedicated and inspired model to promote the values of tolerance, coexistence and equality.

Dr. Yousef Al Obaidli, Director-General of The Founder’s Memorial, said that the memorial showcases the values and principles that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan lived by. The Founding Father called for tolerance, coexistence, and love, Dr. Al Obaidli explained, adding that Sheikh Zayed ensured that the UAE must open its doors and communicate with all nations, without exception, in the spirit of respect and cooperation, a model that is still to this day, highly respected by global leaders.

The Founder’s Memorial Director-General continued, “Sheikh Zayed worked hard to lay the strong foundations and values of tolerance and respect, and The Founder’s Memorial reflects these efforts by highlighting to visitors the legacy of the late leader, and his lessons we continue to carry forward.”
