Imran Khan thanks UAE for financial aid

Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Imran Khan, has extended thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for its initiative to inject US$3 billion (AED11 billion), in the State Bank of Pakistan, to support the level of cash flows and foreign reserves in the country.

“This support reflects our commitment and friendship that has remained steadfast over the years,” said the Pakistani Premier.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi likewise thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for the “generous financial support” which, he said, is a “manifestation of the close fraternal ties between Pakistan and UAE, which have always stood the test of time.”
