Oxford honours SEWA Chairman

Oxford confers title of ‘Honorary Professor’ on SEWA Chairman … reports Asian Lite News.

The Academic College of Oxford, United Kingdom, honoured Dr. Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, SEWA, with the title of “Honorary Professor” in recognition of his scientific, administrative and humanitarian efforts, and contributions, especially in the field of sustainable development.

The academy also awarded him the Socrates Medal for his participation in the European Business Conference at Oxford and his presentation at the Oxford Hall in Britain, attended by a large number of academics and researchers from more than 20 countries.

Dr. Al Leem praised the efforts of the emirate of Sharjah and the UAE, recognising its leading role in the field of development, education and sustainable development in accordance with the highest international standards.

He stated that the educational, environmental and leadership initiatives in Sharjah, in particular, and the country, in general, have the support of good leaders and include all sections of society. He added that H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, is the main supporter of development and quality of education and achieving sustainable development.
