From August 1, those seeking amnesty can go to Al Aweer where GDRFA (The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs) has arranged for air conditioned tents offering amnesty services.

Besides GDFRA, the centre in Al Aweer will have representatives of Dubai Police and Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

The centre in Al Aweer will function from 8 am to 8 pm, everyday except public holidays. The two tents set up in the centre for men and women will have a capacity to hold 3,000 people.

Officers speaking different languages, representing about 40 countries will be ready to facilitate amnesty seekers. Clinics and civil defense teams will also be on call for any emergencies.

Foreign missions in the UAE will have opportunity to set up counters to help amnesty seekers.
