The UAE women are achieving more day by day in terms of development and empowerment, which enabled them to take the leading position in the international women’s movement, stated Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, President of Zayed University.

”Our leadership drew inspiration from the vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late Founding Father, for increasing support for development and empowerment of women so they can assume their aspired national duty as mothers and active partners in the process of nation’s building and development,” Al Qasimi said in a statement on the occasion of the fourth Emirati Women’s Day, which is marked on 28th August, under the theme, “Women on the Course of Zayed.”

Dr. Sarah Ibrahim Galadari, Clinical Operations Manager, Dubai Dental Clinic also took the opportunity to appreciate the role of leadership in empowering women.

“As a young girl I watched one of the interviews of the late Sheikh Zayed stating: ‘The woman is half of the society, any country which pursues development should not leave her in poverty or illiteracy. I am on the woman’s side.’ From then on, every accomplishment I have achieved was for the sole reason of making Sheikh Zayed proud for he has always been “on my side”,” said Dr. Sarah Ibrahim Galadari, Clinical Operations Manager, Dubai Dental Clinic.

“As an Emirati woman, my continued personal and professional development would not have been possible without the support of so many people and the commitment and vision of our esteemed leaders to make it easier for women to follow their dreams,” she added.

“By highlighting and celebrating Emirati women the leadership is inspiring the next generation to succeed just as that simple quote from Sheikh Zayed inspired me,” she said.

“I am truly honored to be following my ambition with the largest dental care multi-specialty facility in Dubai. I hope I can continue to play a role in encouraging young women in the UAE to follow their dreams,” she concluded.
