The Arab coalition said on Thursday it intercepted and downed a drone fired from Yemen toward Saudi Arabia, according to Saudi Press Agency.

Colonel Turki Al-Maliki, the spokesman for the coalition forces, said that the drone was launched by Houthi militia from the capital Sana’a towards civilians and civilian targets in the southern region of the Kingdom.

This latest drone attack comes after coalition forces in Yemen intercepted a number of armed Houthi drones and were shot down in Yemeni airspace on Saturday evening.

And a Houthi armed drone and two ballistic missiles were launched towards Saudi Arabia’s Khamis Mushait earlier in August, all three being intercepted.
