Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Dr Yousef Al Othaimeen will discuss plans to reform the pan-Islamic organization and its organs in the post-coronavirus era at a virtual media forum on Tuesday.
The forum, in its first edition, will be organized by the OIC Union of News Agencies (UNA), will be held under the theme “The Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its organs in the post coronavirus era”.
It will virtually bring together representatives of the member states and the heads of news agencies and institutions in the OIC.
Other topics to be discussed at the forum include the OIC roles, tasks, sustainable development programs and projects in member states, the repercussions of the coronavirus crisis, the organization’s mechanisms to strengthen cooperation and rapprochement between Islamic peoples, and the organization’s vision in dealing with Islamophobia and extremist ideology.
