Perfume Tycoon Supports ‘Stay Home, Stay Safe’ Drive

Hussein Adam Ali, Chairman of the Swiss Arabian Perfumes Group

“This is the time of reckoning,” said Hussein Adam Ali, Chairman of the Swiss Arabian Perfumes Group. “The government has issued strict instructions to contain the epidemic and we have to follow that religiously.”

“This is the time for courage and compassion,” said Mr Ali, the Perfume Tycoon of Arabia whose brands lit up the daily life of millions across the world. “We have to maintain social distancing and meticulous hygiene practices like washing hands.”

“Don’t go out for shopping unnecessarily,” he urged to the fellow citizens. “Groceries, medicines are now available online. Perfumes too.”

The group is offering online shopping across the UAE, Oman and Kuwait. To ensure the safe delivery of perfumery products, it is also providing contactless delivery while taking care of hygiene at every step.

The Swiss Arabian Perfumes Group was founded in 1974 in Aden, Yemen by Hussein Adam Ali. He came to Dubai during the oil rush and started the business in collaboration with Swiss company Givaudan SA, one of the largest essential oil manufacturers in the world.

Over the last four decades, the company has created various offerings across major product categories. Some of them are eau de parfum (EDP); eau de toilette (EDT); concentrated perfume oils (CPO); Dehn El Oud; Bukhoor and Agarwood, which is a traditional incense widely used in Arab households.

Swiss Arabian Perfumes Group operates two manufacturing facilities in Sharjah, and is the first of its kind to obtain an ISO 9000 certification.

Mr Ali has instructed all the staff and delivery riders to wash their hands every 30 minutes. He is making sure they are checking their temperature frequently. The e-shopping facility was launched to support the ‘Stay Home, Stay Safe’ drive. (For more details, visit www.swissarabian.com)
