US Clocks A Record 60K Cases In One Day

The US set a new single day record in new COVID-19 cases after recording over 60,000 new cases whereas Brazil recorded almost 43,000 new cases.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the US recorded 60,646 new cases and at least 895 deaths in the past 24 hours. The nationآ‘s total COVID-19 count reached 31,15,345 and over 1,33,000 deaths, the tally showed.

Meanwhile, Brazilآ‘s health ministry said that at least 42,619 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the past 24 hours as the countryآ‘s total cases reached 17,55,779.

Furthermore, at least 1,220 new deaths were recorded bringing the countryآ‘s total deaths to 69,184. On the other hand, Bolivian Interim President Jeanine Anez has become the third Latin American head of state to test positive for the virus after Brazilآ‘s and Honduran presidents.
