The club’s achievements place it among the most socially responsible sports institutions in the region, recognized for its dedication to fostering community involvement and sustainable growth in the sports sector.

As the UAE declares 2025 the “Year of Community,” the Fujairah Martial Arts Club (FMAC) has been honored with the prestigious “Excellence in Social Responsibility” award for 2025, organized by the Green Organisation in the United Kingdom. This international accolade further solidifies the club’s outstanding contributions to community service and its role in promoting social sustainability through sports.
The recognition highlights FMAC’s pioneering initiatives, particularly its “Future Generations” programme, which aims to discover and nurture young martial arts talents. The club’s commitment to sports as a tool for character development is reflected in its strategic partnerships with local schools, fostering values that extend beyond the sports arena and into the wider community.

In addition to its youth development efforts, the club has organized numerous awareness workshops and community programs. These initiatives, in collaboration with various entities, focus on promoting safety in sports and educating players, coaches, and parents on ethical practices and behavioral best practices.

FMAC also launched a comprehensive sports season featuring six diverse races, open to all age groups, from children to seniors. This initiative encourages broad community participation, reinforcing the idea of sports as a lifestyle while providing opportunities for social interaction and engagement.

The club’s achievements place it among the most socially responsible sports institutions in the region, recognized for its dedication to fostering community involvement and sustainable growth in the sports sector. Nader Abu Shawish, Director of FMAC, expressed gratitude for the award, dedicating it to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, whose visionary leadership continues to inspire the club’s community initiatives. “Winning this award in the Year of Community strengthens our commitment to serving society and empowering future generations,” said Shawish.

He also emphasized the importance of the collective efforts of the club’s administrative, technical, and volunteer teams in achieving this recognition. “This award motivates us to continue working with an even greater belief that sports are not just about competition, but a developmental and humanitarian mission that fosters a more cohesive and sustainable society.”
