UAE is preparing to welcome 2019 with fire works, some roads will be closed, parking is free and fire department is all set to tackle emergencies … reports Asian Lite News.
UAE will welcome the New Year, 2019, with fire works. Colourful events and fireworks are planned in Burj Khalifa, Atlantis, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Festival City, Global Village, La Mer and Al Seef in Dubai.
The Corniche, Al Maryah Island, Yas Island and Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi will also have fun events and fire works. Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah will attempt a new Guinness World Record for longest straight-line display of fire works.
There will also be fire works in Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah.
During the celebrations 1,200 fire fighters are present across various stations to tackle emergencies. Furthermore, at various venues 114 fire vehicles are stationed.
Roads Closed
The Roads and Transport Authority has announced that some roads will be closed as part of New Year celebrations. Al Asayel Street at 4.00 pm, Happiness Street at 6.00 pm, Al Sukook Street and Financial Centre Road at 8.00 pm will be closed.
Parking Free
The parking will be free of charge on New Year holiday starting from Tuesday, 1st January, 2019 to Wednesday, 2nd January, till 7:59 p.m.
