Oman’s COVID-19 Tally At 50,000

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Oman exceeded 50,000 on Wednesday, the Health Ministry said.

The country reported another 1,210 new cases of the coronavirus and nine deaths in the last 24 hours, to take its total count to 50,207 cases with 233 deaths.

939 of the new cases were Omanis whereas 271 were non-Omanis. This brings the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 50,207 in the Sultanate, in addition to 233 death cases, the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry also pointed out that 1,005 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 32,005 cases.

The Ministry also pointed out that 3987 tests of Covid-19 were conducted and 64 cases were hospitalized over the past 24 hours, adding that the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 469, of them 128 are in intensive care units (ICU).
