‘Sparkles Of India’ among several international and regional performances will spice up 2018 edition of Abu Dhabi Summer Season ….reports Asian Lite News
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has joined forces with leading UAE event organisers to produce a line-up of events – from renowned international shows to regional and Indian performances and concerts, and comedy shows – for the Abu Dhabi Summer Season (ADSS) 2018.
This annual anchor event is part of the emirate’s efforts to boost visitor numbers and increase hotel occupancy rates, with an aim of attracting 5.5 million visitors by the end of 2018.
A host of events will be held at various venues and malls across the capital till August 18th as Abu Dhabi cements its status as a year-round destination for family leisure and entertainment. Along with a full calendar of shows for all the family, hotels, malls and visitor attractions will be offering promotions and prizes throughout the 59-day-long festivities.
Celebrating India’s Independence Day, ‘Sparkles Of India’, will run from August 16th to 18th from 6-11pm at du Forum. It will feature a variety of culinary delights from different regions, multiple activations and performances, and cultural dance routines. The three-day festival will also host a concert by a celebrity, in addition to finalists from India’s Got Talent, India Idol, and Dance India.
MBC Group will host the popular Nickelodeon show from 6th to 15th August where its famous characters will be giving special performances.
“We are excited to launch for the first time in the middle east the concept of Nickelodeon World from the capital Abu Dhabi, a concept for all kids to enjoy shows and activities from their favorite Nickelodeon characters. A concept that will hopefully be available for all the families that visit Abu Dhabi year on year,” Imad Salibi, Activations Manager, MBC Group.
Pinkfong and Baby Shark will be at Dalma Mall from June 28th to 30th at 5:30pm and 7:30pm, giving live performances in an interactive song and dance concert.
Other acts include ‘Around the World’, which will start at 5:30pm between July 5th and August 14th at Bawadi Mall Stage, Main Atrium.
One the world’s biggest dance festivals, ‘Unite with Tomorrowland’, will be live-streamed in Abu Dhabi at du Forum, Yas Island from 2pm to 2am from Boom, Belgium on July 28th. The UAE event will allow concert-goers to simultaneously rave along with a live broadcast synced with other countries. Along with Abu Dhabi, this year’s Unite with Tomorrowland will also include Italy, Malta, Spain, Taiwan, Mexico, and Lebanon.
