Ways of accelerating international efforts to fight against terrorism and extremism were the main topic of discussions at a meeting H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, yesterday had with Vladimir Ivanovich Voronkov, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed means of boosting cooperation ties between the Ministry of the Interior and the UN Counter-Terrorism Office on issues of mutual concern, especially those related to countering terrorism.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Acting Secretary – General of the Office of the Minister of the Interior, and a number of MoI officers and senior UN officials.
