Al Rumaithi appointed military advisor to UAE President

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday issued a Federal Decree appointing Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi as a Military Affairs Adviser to the UAE President at the rank of Minister.

Meanwhile, the President also issued a Federal Decree appointing Staff Lieutenant General Engineer Issa Saif Mohammed Al Mazrouei as Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, at the rank of minister.

The Decrees shall be published in the Official Gazette and come into force on the date of its issuance.

Al Rumaithi was honoured with the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Military Order, in recognition of his dedication and sincere efforts in serving the nation over nearly 50 years of hard work and distinction.

Sheikh Mohamed earlier said that Al Rumaithi has been a role model in leadership and planning. He pointed out that several generations have learned from his military and field experience during his nearly fifty-year military career, which has been full of giving and dedication.
