Al Jalila Children’s, the first and only children’s hospital in the UAE, has launched its Diabetes Clinic on World Diabetes Day.

The hospital organised an educational event for children featuring well-known food and health enthusiast Yasmin Al Mulla, who conducted live cooking demonstrations of healthy treats for children with diabetes.

The Diabetes Clinic at Al Jalila Children’s is a multi-disciplinary and one-of-a-kind service featuring a highly-experienced team of two consultants, a diabetes educator, a dietitian, and a psychologist.

The clinic offers comprehensive care to infants, children and adolescents with all types of diabetes, including Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, steroid-induced diabetes, post pancreatectomy diabetes, and rare genetic forms of diabetes.
