Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the generosity of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the UAE, for donating land for building a temple.
He was addressing the crowd in Dubai at iconic Dubai opera. Earlier he witnessed the laying of foundation stone for the BAPS Swaminarayan temple on Abu Dhabi – Dubai highway.
He met Dubai Ruler and Prime Minister of the UAE HH Sheikh Mohammed on Sunday morning.

About 10,000 people attended Modi’s meeting at Dubai Opera House. “The first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi being built on a generous gift of land by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi reflects UAE’s commitment to tolerance and harmony,” said Modi.
Modi said Indian community is a bridge to strengthen age-old relationship between India and the UAE.
“Our 3.3 million strong Indian diaspora is a bridge to strengthening our bilateral relations with UAE and has contributed to the UAE growth story,” he added.
Temple Committee members, including BR Shetty, earlier presented the temple literature to HH Sheikh Mohamed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Mr Modi. This will be the first stone temple to be built in Abu Dhabi off Dubai-Abu Dhabi highway.
