Sharjah Ruler attends World Youth Forum

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, attended the second edition of the World Youth Forum 2018, along with Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of Egypt.

The forum, taking place in Sharm El Sheikh, will run from 4th-6th November. Five thousand young individuals are currently participating in the forum from across 145 countries, with the aim to send a message of peace, prosperity, harmony and global progress.

In his opening speech, President el-Sisi welcomed the World Youth Forum attendees, while also commenting on recent events in the country, affirming that Egypt has long-rejected all forms of extremism, discrimination and racism, The World Youth Forum seeks to engages youth from around the globe in an enriching set-up, allowing them to exchange views and recommend initiatives to decision-makers and influential figures.

The meeting was attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, and a number of dignitaries.
