Major General (Rtd) K.B. Egodawela has been appointed as Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksas Chief-of-Staff.

The newly-appointed Chief of Staff had been actively engaged in the military operations for over three decades since joining the Sri Lankan Army in 1971, The Sunday Times reported.

Egodawela had also served as the Director of the Land Reclamation Authority.
